The little humming-bird

humming bird
The morning is bright and sunny..
Yet I laze, gazing at the little balcony,
Blaming the world for the melancholy.
I fail to see the blooming primroses..
the delicate pinks and bright yellows..
dazzling white and flaming red.
But comes there a humming-bird..
in search of nectar, buzzing away happily.
I gaze at the little bird in my balcony..
It flits away with an infectious energy..
Suddenly, coaxing away my lethargy.
Humming a new beat with its flutter..
Wakes me from my stupor.
I gaze again at the little balcony,
And now I see the morning bright and sunny..
